School activities

Promoting sustainable transport in your school can take any form that suits your local needs. We have developed a range of activities and supporting information to make these activities easy to implement.

The following activities are available for you to utilise either as stand alone activities or to feed into a TravelSmart process. Further activities and support is available to registered schools.

• TravelSmart to School Day: Nominate a day for students to TravelSmart to school.
• TravelSmart Class Challenge: Hold a week long TravelSmart challenge.
• Park and Walk: Develop safe routes to travel to school.
• Bike education: Arrange for bike education classes to teach students about cycling.
• TravelSmART competition: Hold an art competition to raise awareness about congestion and road safety.
• TravelSmart school web page: Publish transport and travel information on your school's website.
• Ride and Walk to School Days: Take part in one of the national or state-wide events.
